Pastor Morris Reddon, Jr. is a native of Baltimore, a graduate of Paul Laurence Dunbar High and Morgan State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology. Pastor Reddon has been married to Rev. Gloria Ann Reddon for over 32 years. They have four adult children.

He served as the pastor of New Collins Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church located in Snow Hill, Maryland, where he was initially appointed April 1989 and served for 18 years. New Collins Temple was his first pastorate. Under his leadership, in February 1994, Rev. Reddon, the officers and members of New Collins Temple marched into their present sanctuary.

Rev. Reddon has served as an Associate Minister at Bethel and Oak Street A.M.E. Churches. He has also served as an instructor at the Bethel Bible Institute where he taught How to Study God’s Word. He loves to teach and preach the Word of God. Most of all he loves the Lord and has a shepherd’s heart for God’s people.

In 2007, at the Planning Meeting in Hampton, VA, Bishop A. J. Richardson appointed Rev. Morris Reddon, Jr. formerly of the Baltimore Conference to lead the people of Greater Bethel. Upon his arrival, Rev. Reddon asked the congregation to “follow me as I follow Christ”. Under his direction, the members have rallied together to reorganize the majority of the ministries at Greater Bethel and begun new ministries.

Pastor Reddon’s primary focus is on Kingdom Building and together with his people marched into Greater Bethel AME Church “On the Plaza” the first Sunday in February 2009 where they worship Christ in a mighty manner.

This Man of God remains grateful and humble! To God Be the Glory.
